Adam Smith represents Polypipe Middle East, the region’s leading manufacturer of water and waste water management solutions. They are headquartered in Dubai, with production and technical centre facilities serving the Middle East region – Polypipe Group also have a healthy export business from the UK for MEP drainage and pressure systems. Adam started his professional career in the United Kingdom, upon leaving school trained as a City & Guilds qualified piping engineer, delivering turn-key projects throughout the UK for various SME companies. Adam then migrated into ‘Facilities Management’ side of the construction business with the EMS Group, focused on specialized contracts for large multinational retail clients such as BP, Morrison’s and Bovis Lend Lease amongst others. Adam then looked towards manufacturing for change in career, securing an opportunity to utilize his technical background, for the Polypipe Group, the UK’s largest plastic piping systems manufacturer. Adam’s role took him to the Middle East early 2010 to develop the interests of the business in various markets, whilst being involved and supporting organizations such as CIBSE, Constructing Excellence and the BRE. Adam is passionate about water and the future of drainage in the region.
